Tours Sights & Attractions
The region surrounding Tours is called Touraine, and here wine is on the lips of most. This Loire Valley area is famous for its tipples, and an appellation d'Origine Controlee has been placed on it.
The Museum of Companionship is in the centre of Tours, within the re-modelled Abbey of St Julien of Tours. Here, in the ancient cellar, now lies a wine museum.
This is a very picturesque place to visit regardless of its contents, as the building dates back to the 13th century. The area dedicated to wine contains information on all sorts of things related to wine, including 'wine and religion' and 'the benefits of wine'.
Tours is under an hour from Paris and shares with it many amenities suited to business travellers. The largest business facility is in the area is the Parc des Expositions de Tours which is close to the city centre.
