The hub of Lille's local government, the Hôtel de Ville stands proudly in the centre of the old town.

Dominated by the 105-metre belfry, which you can climb in an exhausting 104 steps.

It took four years, from 1924-1928, to build Dubuisson's new town hall, replacing the one on the Place Rihour which burnt down in 1916.

The outside takes its inspiration from Flemish houses, with triangular gables and an impressive interior, opening onto a hall 107 metres long.
